It’s Anti-Bullying Week at school and the students were tasked with dressing up as their favorite storybook character, and writing about that character. Laila was adamant about dressing up as Nia from her Aunt Carolyn Eason Burgess’s book Proud to be Me.
She did such a great job piecing together her costume at the last minute. The book Proud to be Me is so befitting for the assignment! I’m so proud of my baby! The teacher will be playing the song “Be Proud of Who You Are” for the class during the presentation.
